CHASE RSP 4.0 FRAME
CHASE BMX IS THE LEADER OF INTRODUCING NEW TECHNOLOGIES TO BMX AND WITH THE RSP 4.0, THE LEVEL OF BMX FRAMES HAS BEEN RAISED ONCE AGAIN!
The CHASE RSP 4.0 starts off with the Olympic and World Championship geometry that Chase Pro Riders Connor Fields and Joris Daudet have been winning on for years. The triple butted tubing keeps the weight down and the strength at an Elite level. The Aero Seat Post/Clamp system and the internal brake cable give the RSP 4.0 a clean, factory look, to match the all new graphics and colors!
But here is where the RSP 4.0 gets really exciting – with the addition of new technical advancements on the Expert XL and larger size frames. These include a new enclosed dropouts with integrated 10mm (3/8″) chain tensioner system*, a integrated 1-1/8″-1.5″ tapered head tube, a press Fit BB86 Bottom Bracket, and the RSP 4.0 has been specifically designed to work with 120mm Disc brakes or traditional V brakes, with the optional ELEVN Disc Brake adaptor and 120mm Disc. For the RSP 4.0, we are excited to offer 2 new frames sizes – XXXL and Expert Cruiser. Also, the RSP 4.0 Frames are delivered to you with the 27.2 Aero Seat Post and Seat Post clamp and no additional cost!
The Mini, Junior, and Expert sized frames are 200 grams lighter than the RSP 3.0 and also include the 25.4 Aero Seat Post and Seat Clamp. These frames also feature a traditional Euro BB, Open Drop out design, and a standard 1-1/8″ intergrated headtube but Not compatible with disc braking
Put this all together and you get the best Alloy BMX frame ever created.
* For Chase RSP 4.0 frames sizes Expert XL and above, please not the Enclosed drop out on the frame will only work with hubs where the 3/8″ (10mm) axle bolts remove from the hub.

We are also excited about the new design of the graphics, for a clean, factory look. Chase only uses an ultra hi tech process to utilize super thin decals under the clear coat, than not only keeps your frame looking better, but it also helps keep the weight of the all over graphics on the frame to a minimum. it may not seem like much, but when a race is decided by inches, the reduce weight is a key to victory!
TECHNOLOGIES
Born from some of the best alloys for building BMX race bikes, our special 7005-T6 SpeedLite alloy is the perfect blend for our Hydroforming process, giving our RSP frames the core strength needed to produce unmatched speed on the track, while keeping the overall weight of the frame down to a minimum.
Chase feature the triple butting on our line of RSP frames. A triple-butted tube means it has three different wall thicknesses along its length. Chase uses this technology to reduce the amount of material used when building the RSP frame, decreasing its weight by 15% compared to last years frame tubes used to construct the frame. Lighter where it can be and stiffer where it needs to be means no excess weight on the bike that gives you an advantage with the RSP 5.0 frame and against the completion.
Chase RSP frames use tapered tubing to offer you the most durable, yet light weight products, to help you achieve optimum results on the BMX race track. Our tapered items, use multiple thicknesses in the same tube, so the tube can be reinforced where needed with precision to help reduce stress areas where needed and lighten up the areas that don’t require extra materials. In aluminum the result are tube walls that eliminate stress points, boosting strength, reducing weight and improving fatigue life. The advantage is clear : Tapered tubes enhances strength and durability, at less weight.
Hydroformed tubes have two main advantages. First, the narrow axis is a flatter surface, which means more surface area to carry the load, so it is stiffer & stronger across the minor axis. Secondly, the deeper axis is stiffer since the stiffness varies to the cube of the diameter, stronger to the square. When using an oval shaped tube on a typical BMX frame it helps reduce flex but only in one direction, but on the Chase frames, the tubes are oval in both directions in the main flex areas and these tubes help reduce flex in both main directions.
Chase ACT and RSP Frames feature the Aero seat post tube, seat post, and seat post clamp into BMX racing. This is to not only to help gain fractions of a second on the track with improved aerodynamics, but the Aero tubes also offers a slightly stiffer feel. We know BMX bikes don’t need to go fully aero testing into a wind tunnel, but when races are won or lost by fractions of a second, every advantage will help.
All Chase Frames feature Muscle Forming for Chain and Seat Stays, a technique to give the back end of the ACT and RSP frames the stiffness and design shape we wanted and needed for optional design a special mold and process were needed to let us build the ultimate frame. Used with Carbon Fiber or Alloy to do just that, while letting us design the exact shape, design, and thickness to offer the optional designed back end on the Chase frames.
For Chase ACT and RSP frames, we have designed them to be able to take the extra force created by using a disc brake and disc brake mount. The Dropouts, as well as the seat and chain stays need to be designed with a Disc brake in mind to give you the extra strength and clearance needed for disc mounts and the disc brake Caliper as well, while still be able to use the entire length of the drop out area.
While each rider is unique, Chase has developed Bio Fit sizing for our frames to offer riders the ultimate size options for BMX racing. The sizing used for the Chase line has been carefully designed to give riders the optimum power output in the size range offered. Our commitment to details and offering many size options, gives you a custom fit BMX frame, that you can buy right at your local Chase BMX Dealer.
Chase Frames use a Integrated Tapered Headtube. Tapered head tubes offer a combination for the bearing sizes. Our tapered head tubes have a 1-1/8” upper diameter to 1.5” lower diameter. this allows you to run a tapered steer tube fork, or use a full 1-1/8” fork steer tube, with the offered 1.5” lower bearing, when the headset has an optional 1-1/8” to 1.5” fork race option.
Chase Frames use a Press Fit style Bottom Bracket tube. Press Fit BB are a simple and easy way to install a Bottom Bracket, where the Bottom Bracket you supply for your frame has the Bearings in cups and simply press into the frame, eliminating the chance of damaging BB threads, with the traditional Euro BB. The BB is usually lighter and easier to install and remove as well.
Chase Frames feature an Fully enclosed, Extra long (2.3″ or 60mm) axle area slot, with reinforced stainless steel plates, 20mm drop outs with removable steel plate inserts to accommodate 20mm, 15mm or 10mm rear axle hubs. The Enclosed system also houses 2 different Chain tensioner systems, an Internal system with built-in alloy tensioner, or external Chain Tensioner system, allowing you to use the full length of the dropout.
Chase Frames feature Internal Cable Routing thru the top tube, giving you the factory look, as well as providing protection for the brake cable and graphics, since the cable does not rub against the frame.

Frames Weights listed are without brake cable, seat post, seat clamp and chain tensioners
The Chase race frames were all designed to be strong enough for BMX Pro level racing but also as light as possible. Usage of a Disc brake and disc brake adaptor was not in the original design of these frames, therefor, it is not recommended to use such a brake on the frame, due to the stress these type of brakes put on the frame and dropouts.
Any use of a disc brake adaptor on mini, junior, expert and expert cruiser sizes voids the warranty of the Chase RSP 4.0 frames, as this was not the intended purpose and only a V type brake is.
SIZING CHART
The charts below show our recommended sizes based on height, but there are some other factors, like arm and leg length, that determine a great fit. That’s why you’ll see some overlap in our recommendations. Not every rider who’s 5´8˝, for example, will fit on the same size bike. The best way to find your perfect fit is to consult the experts at your local Chase retailer.
